Big Goals!

Hey there boys and girls,

January is more than half way gone!  This year is already going quickly!   Are you sticking with your 2011 goals?  Hope so!  If not, it is never too late to "get back on the wagon"  good thing, too!   my eating has been pretty good, but I have not been nearly as meticulous as I would like to be.  In fact, I will be doing a 3 day Shakeology cleanse starting Friday.   As a girl who loves good food, 3 days of restricted eating is not the easiest thing to do, but I ALWAYS love the results!  My body is supplied with a super dose of high quality nutrition with a  moderately low number of calories.  Lots of bang for the calorie buck!  Shakeology is  like fitness for your insides, and it does a fantastic job of cleaning out all the goo hanging around in the intestines. In doing so, I get the added bonus of dropping 3-4 pounds in three short days. My husband tend to lose more like 8-9 pounds! Gotta love THAT!    If YOU would like to try a Shakeology cleanse, let me know! I offer cleanse packets for $50.00.  They include 10 servings of Shakeology, complete directions for the cleanse and an awesome shaker cup to make your shakes.   Just send  me an email and I will tell you how to order.

Fitness wise, I am in week 3 of my ninth round of P90X. It feels good and I can already tell that my endurance is building.   I also have a new workout partner and she is challenging me to try new things. ( Yikes!  It can be scary outside my box!)  Tomorrow I am actually snow shoeing a 6 mile trail, 3 miles up the mountain and 3 miles back down.  Should be interesting as it  is snowing as I type and we could be getting as much a 8 inches!   As long as there is no sleet, I am up for it!

this year, I am upping my endurance conditioning.  I am working toward a pretty big goal that I am not ready to reveal yet, but know that it will take a different level of training to do it.  It is both scary and exciting!    I have always been a competitive person ,especially with myself and this is definitely the biggest thing I have   ever set my sights on.   As soon as I have a sponsor in place, I will  share it here first!

So what are you doing to move forward in your life?  Pick something you always thought was kinda neat and figure out a way to do it!   Setting and achieving a big hairy goal is incredibly rewarding. Exhilarating, even!   Then share it with as many people as possible so you have the support and accountability you need to achieve.   In fact you could even share it here!   C'mon, what have you got to lose?

Happy New Year! Now let's get moving for a healthy 2011

10 Things to help you get there:

1. Write it down - Write down your workouts for the month, yes the month. Starting today you should write down everyday for Jan what workout you are doing each day or if it's a rest day. Your goal should be 5-6 days a week working out. You also need to highlight, put an X through it or Check it off when you complete that workout.

2. Your food - Yes write down your food, take the time for 2 straight weeks and also write down the amount of Carbs, Proteins, Fat (total, sat and trans), sugars and calories. This is what will help you see where you are eating good or bad and how to make the necessary changes to improve your eating habits! But don't stop after 2 weeks, just commit to 2 weeks and then you should keep going :) Make healthier choices, cut back on the amount of eating out you currently do too!

3. Personal Audio/Books - Yes just eating better and working out isn't enough these days. There are so many negative stories on tv and even co-workers. We all have at least one co-worker that is constantly complaining and it effects us all whether we realize it or not. You need to work on your mental state and mindset as well. If you need great suggestions, let me know!

4. DO IT! - Read back over the first 3 items above and actually DO IT. Don't just say you'll get to it, actually do it! NO EXCUSES!!!

5. Get a Partner - I don't mean you have to have someone who is coming over for every workout. I mean find someone to hold accountable and to hold YOU accountable. Whether you commit to sending a text msg everyday or chatting over an instant messenger program, maybe someone at work. You need to hold someone accountable because they're going to ask you the same things and it does really help you stay on track. You don't want to have to tell someone, no I didn't do mine, but glad you did yours!

6. Stop using the words "I can't" - Get that out of your head now. Substitute "I presently struggle with..." Yes I am taking a page out of Tony Horton's world here. But trust me, it works! You're going to struggle, so what! Do your best, forget the rest, just keep going! You are not going to reach your goals by saying I can't. You keep pushing forward and it will come!

7. Take a picture - Ladies (sports bra and shorts) Men (shorts only) ... Yes I mean this, take a picture of yourself and answer this question: Do I like what I see?

If the answer is No - Then do something about it! Make a plan and get on it and stick to it! If you need help, then msg me and I'll help you.

If the answer is Yes - Great! You obviously are doing something right :) But... are you still doing items 1-6? If you are, then keep going and help someone else get to your level. If you're not doing 1-6 then start doing it, You can always learn more and do more. The day you feel that you know it all, someone needs to slap you back into reality.

8. No Excuses/No Walls - Don't let the excuses win, Don't let the walls stop you. You can push through them all. If you hit a wall, then call a friend that can help you push past it. You show me a wall, I'll show you how to break it down. You give me an excuse, I'll tell you why that excuse is invalid. You are your biggest stopping block, so get out of your way and push forward!

9. Read items 1-8 again.

10. Did you read items 1-8? Good, now put them into your daily and weekly lives. Trust me, this is going to get you closer to where you want to be. Is it going to be easy? Nope! But you will feel so much stronger Mentally and Physically and you will find a level you never knew existed. Keep pushing forward, keep going, don't let the excuses win, don't let the walls stop you.

You can do this, I believe in you! Message me if you're ready and let's do this! 2011 is going to be an amazing year!!!
